Arthur Lopez (b.1971)
Arthur Lopez is among the finest artists working in the proud heritage of northern New Mexico's santeros. His traditional bultos, or carved representations of the saints, are exhibited at Santa Fe's annual Spanish Market (he was the Market's poster artist in 2005), and avidly sought by museums and private collectors.
An artist creating new ways to depict tradional saints and holy figures. His subject matter ranges from the traditional to the contemporary.
