Education The education department at the Museum of the Southwest is dedicated to creating an environment of discovery and learning to enrich the experience of the museum visitor. Providing an alternative learning environment for all ages and opening a window to the world by presenting artistic, scientific, and cultural material in meaningful ways. The Museum of the Southwest is a primary source for educators to enhance and expand their teaching experience apart from the school setting. Guided Tours, Collection Brochures, Focus on the Museum, TEKS aligned lesson plans, and Outreach Trunks, are resources created to open minds to a greater understanding and encourage appreciation of the artists background, cultural influence, technique, material, and design. |
