The Museum of the Southwest is a primary source for educators to enhance and expand their teaching experiences apart from the school setting. Around every turn is a new experience to grasp students instincts to observe, question, and grow. Encouraging and developing critical thinking skills through observation, and communication through discussions about what they observe. The Museum of the Southwest strives to create a lasting impact on teaching and learning by integrating museum resources into the educational process. The Art Education staff is available to coordinate our resources with each individual teachers lesson plans. We have an extensive library, including DVD's, VHS videos, and books which are available as a lending library. See education links.
