Ever walk through the mansion and find yourself asking, “Can we go in there?”
This is that tour…
As part of the Museum of the Southwest’s 60th Anniversary celebration, our Behind the Scenes Tour offers a rare opportunity to step beyond the stanchions and into spaces normally closed to the public. Guests will move through doors that generations of visitors have only glimpsed—exploring the private rooms upstairs, the historic kitchen, and other hidden corners that quietly shaped daily life within the Turner Mansion.
Along the way, knowledgeable guides will share the rich stories of the 90-year-old Mansion and the Museum itself—stories of the families, ambitions, and quiet mysteries that give this remarkable home its character and soul. This is more than a tour; it is an intimate journey filled with rare access, personal stories, and fresh perspective on a place many thought they already knew.
Perfect for history lovers, curious minds, and anyone who has ever paused in the hallway and wondered what lies just beyond the rope, this experience invites you to see the Mansion in a whole new light.
