Works of Art!

Works of Art! classes focus on artistic techniques that highlight current exhibitions across our campus. Classes are free of charge and open to students ares 4-12.

 

Registration is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome based on availability. 

Sessions are Tuesdays at 11:00AM and 4:00PM, then Wednesdays - Fridays at 4:00PM

Sci-Fi Movie Nights

Sci-Fridays offer a fun opportunity to get out of the house on the final Friday nights of each month. Films take place in the Marian West & William Blanton Blakemore Planetarium’s Greathouse Dome.

Come join us for hot coffee, new friends, and an enlightening

storytime related to our Museum exhibitions. Plus plenty of hands-on activities and a fun take-home craft.

Join us for a week of celebration and play!

We will have crafts, story times, scavenger hunts, Science on the Sphere, dome shows, and more!  

Activities will take place in both the Fredda Turner Durham Children's Museum and the Marian Blakemore Planetarium.

Summer Camp

Summer 2023

Half day camp from 1pm to 5pm with sessions of art and science based activities, contests, dome shows, and more to inspire young students!

Join us for special solar system tours, Dome shows, and more!  Come explore our campus with your family and enjoy the extra features from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays in June and July.
