Born and raised in Texas, Womack and his art are heavily influenced by Americana through nostalgia and a pop-culture lens, often in collaboration with different companies. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, he did an artist-in-residence program in spring 2024 at Scout Design Studio in Dallas, where he now primarily operates. Though he has exhibited his works in other galleries or in collaboration with different groups, “GIANT” will be his first-ever solo exhibition and will serve as something of a retrospective on the last five years of his career.

 

“What I’m hoping to do is get a lot of attention (and) foot traffic, (for people) to come in and see the pieces in Midland and use some of that buzz to generate (attention for) other shows and galleries and perhaps other museum show going forward,” Womack said. “My expectation is that people are going to want certain pieces for different galleries and different exhibitions, and hopefully we can sell some of the work that way.”
